SIRAI / FIRST-TIME GUIDE
A practical way to get started.
Each tool has an interactive fictional example. Load one, adjust the assumptions, and examine the results. Nothing shown here is a verified SIRAI field project.
WATERSHARE / DEMONSTRATION
Plan shared water collection
Fictional example: 24 households × 35 litres per household = 840 litres daily, split across three windows.
- Open WaterShare and load the fictional example.
- Check daily demand against the 900 L assumed supply and 1,000 L tank.
- Change household counts and water quantities, then review warnings.
- Export a CSV only if it is safe to store collection times.
Do not publicly share water-point locations, movement times or household identities.

Turn a community idea into a draft
Fictional example: coordinate shared access to water using sample costs, roles, milestones, and risk responses.
- Open ProjectStarter and load the fictional example.
- Review the problem and ask who should be consulted.
- Replace invented costs with locally verified prices; check the funding gap.
- Review responsibilities, milestones and safeguarding before exporting.
An example does not establish funding, community consent or a SIRAI project.

Understand a household energy scenario
Fictional example: lamps, fan, phone charging, refrigerator and television, with sample battery assumptions.
- Open TaqaWise and load the fictional example.
- Inspect daily electricity consumption and essential loads.
- Change backup hours, battery capacity and other assumptions to compare scenarios.
- Download the editable draft or print the report; consult a qualified electrician before any installation.
The estimate omits some real-world design factors. Do not use it to purchase or wire equipment.

Ask a volunteer to use the website on their own phone. Participation must be voluntary. Do not request names, exact locations, or sensitive activity details.
- Ask whether they can find and load an example without assistance.
- Ask them to change one input, and explain what changed in the result.
- Check Arabic language, mobile layout, keyboard use, and offline access.
- Record only non-identifying problems and suggestions, with consent.
- Submit findings through the feedback form while connected.
Offline: open all tools once while connected, then test again with mobile data disabled. Feedback submission requires internet. Opening pages that have not cached may fail.
